The School Leadership Team (SLT) in NYC Public Schools is a collaborative governance body composed of the principal, an equal number of elected parents and staff, and sometimes students. It is responsible for shared decision-making on the school’s Comprehensive Educational Plan (CEP), strategic priorities, and alignment of resources, helping ensure that instructional programs, policies, and budgeting support student achievement and the school’s long-term goals.
